High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology has effective applications for non-invasive treatment of operable tumours. HIFU technology is intended to allow the surgeon to treat a well-defined area of diseased tissue without damaging surrounding tissue and organs; eliminating the need for incisions, transfusions, general anesthesia and their resulting complications. The system allows the patient to have the tumour safely neutralized without complications related to traditional surgery. The patient
returns to work or to enjoy life and regular activities more quickly therefore
reducing the strain and possible financial burden from contracting the disease.

Procedures that can be successfully treated with the TS-1000 HIFU system are:

Cancer Tumour Treatments

Angel offers HIFU systems that currently help treat the following cancerous tumours:

1. Carcinoma of the liver
2. Myoma of the uterus
3. Carcinoma of the Rectum
4. Carcinoma of the Pancreas
5. Carcinoma of the Prostate
6. Breast Cancer
7. Osteoma

In addition, the TS-1000 is very effective in treating benign tumours that can be reached through HIFU.

Angel began first stage clinical trials in China in 2002. Successful and positive third stage clinical trials were completed at the end of 2005.

Ultrasound is a mechanical wave which can penetrate the tissue without ionizing radiation injury.
